My opinions on music:



Pink Floyd:


Albums Owned: Piper at the Gates of Dawn, A Saucerful of Secrets, Atom Heart Mother, Meddle, Obscured By Clouds, Dark Side Of The Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall, A Momentary Lapse of Reason

Favorite Song: Echoes


Pink Floyd would have to be my favorite music group. As you can see, I own quite a few of their albums. I even have a favorite song from each album. My favorite on Piper is Bike, my favorite on Saucerful is Let There Be More Light. My favorite on Atom Heart Mother is obviously Atom Heart Mother. On Meddle it is Echoes, on Obscured By Clouds it is Childhood's End, on DSOTM it is Brain Damage, and on WYWH it is Wish You Were Here. On Animals it is Sheep, on The Wall it is The Trial, and on AMLOR it is One Slip.. That isn't to say I don't like their other songs... they are all great. I love the variety that you can hear, and the lyrics and music are the work of geniuses. I own a DSOTM shirt, a WYWH shirt, and my desktop and cell phone background are both the DSOTM album cover. When my computer starts up, it plays the beginning of Brain Damage, and when it shuts down, it plays the "I'll see you on the Dark Side of the Moon!" from Eclipse. Best band ever.


Styx:


Albums Owned: Styx: Greatest Hits (and a live version of Come Sail Away)

Favorite Song: Either Miss America or Come Sail Away


Styx was introduced to me by one of my best friends quite a while ago, but I just recently bought Styx: Greatest Hits. It's hard to decide which of their songs I like best... I like a lot of them! If I could name my top five, in no particular order, it would be Come Sail Away, Miss America, Renegade, Blue Collar Man, and Lorelei.


Queen:


Albums Owned: Live at Wembley '86

Favorite Song: Bohemian Rhapsody


Again, this is another band that I only own one album from, but I like quite a few of their songs. My favorites are Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites the Dust, We are the champions, and We Will Rock You. Bohemian Rhapsody has to be one of the best songs ever. You know, I think I'll make a section at the bottom of this page for the best songs ever.


Simon and Garfunkel:


Albums Owned: The Essential Simon and Garfunkel

Favorite Song: The Boxer


I have a mixed opinion of Simon and Garfunkel. Some of their songs I really love, while some are too slow and sad for me. Some of the ones that I do like are The Boxer, Mrs. Robinson, Baby Driver, Keep the Customer Satisfied, Homeward Bound, Richard Cory, and I am a Rock.


Rush:


Albums Owned: 2112, and a whole bunch of random other songs, mostly live.

Favorite Song: Either Xanadu, 2112, or YYZ


I had accuired a few random Rush songs a while ago, such as Limelight and Closer to the Heart, but never really paid much attention to them. However, I recently got some more, as well as the 2112 album, and I'm starting to get hooked. While they aren't as monumentally awesome as Pink Floyd, they are very very good. I particularly like Xanadu and 2112... long songs are usually pretty awesome as you will see below in my list of Best Songs Ever. I like YYZ because the intro is pretty cool, and being a drummer, the second half is completely amazing. In fact, I plan to attend a Rush concert soon... I'll post more then with my comments.
